We are pleased to offer for the very first time, the enigmatic “Pimp Daddy” Destro! Instead of the black collar and legs as seen on the production model, the “Pimp Daddy” showcases flamboyant leopard print on the collar and legs.  Mystery has always surrounded this figure, and for many years, there was no definitive answer as to the origin of this piece. Finally in 2007, 10 years after his initial release, the record was set straight by a gentleman named John Boyce. Boyce, a Hasbro designer, worked directly on the 1997 commemorative sets. In fact, it was Boyce who initially approved the leopard print paint job but was eventually overruled by marketing manager Vinnie D’Alleva. D’Alleva felt the concept was a too over the top and opted for the more traditional black color scheme. Production immediately ceased on the on the creative color scheme but not before a few hundred PDDs were produced by the factory. Amazingly, a handful have survived, and they’ve become highly collectible…...and very valuable.

Our example is an absolute showstopper of a piece, a fantastic AFA 90. The folks at AFA have put together a museum quality display with the Destro action figure, complete with all accessories, encased masterfully. The action figure and accessories are in pristine condition. There are no superior examples known. Please note that one of the pegs located near the bottom corner has come loose inside the casing.  Encapsulated by AFA (90), #17845622
