Unopened first-generation original Apple iPhone from 2007 gifted by Apple to director Phil Martino. Highly desirable first release in 8GB form. It’s important to note that the box detail of the first release 8GB differs from the subsequent 8GB model released several months later. The original release is most easily identified by the original 12 icons on the face of the box. The later released 8GB added a 13th icon (an “iTunes” icon). Our offering is a genuine first release model with the original 12 icons.
The first release 8GB model has realized impressive public sales of $35,414 in August 2022, $39,339 in October 2022, and $63,356 in February 2023 resulting in widespread media coverage from major outlets including CNN, NPR, BBC, and others.
Here we have an identical model accompanied by pristine provenance. This factory sealed, first-release example is in excellent condition with only very minor blemishes. Imperfections include light wear at the bottom front corners, light color fade on the box face, and rabbit ear on the top corner of the back label. Factory seal is intact with desirable seam pattern along the sides and bottom panels. Outstanding provenance and excellent display value highlight this iconic first-release model. We expect this one to be a popular choice for astute collectors of high-end pop culture memorabilia.
