Brand new, unopened and gem mint.  This is the first release of the Super Nintendo classic, the game many call the greatest 16-bit adventure of all-time,  Super Metroid. Like all Nintendo greats, the title was initially released in Japan, home of Nintendo, in 1994, ahead of its later launch abroad in North America and Europe.  It marks Samus Aran's third appearance, a follow-up to the original NES Metroid and Game Boy's Metroid II.  The all-star development team is considered Nintendo royalty: Yoshio Sakamoto, Makoto Kano, and Gunpei Yokoi.  Developers envisioned an action game with pace, but one that retained the magic of earlier Metroid installments.  The stage was set for Samus' groundbreaking reappearance.
