Triple Win Variant
The most popular G.I. Joe ever released: Snake Eyes with Timber. This nearly 40 year old Series 4 classic is a desirable “Triple Win” variant with peach file card. The card is clean front and back with nice color and no major issues. Blemishes on front include a light horizonal vein through the blue in the GI Joe logo. There are two impressions in the shape of the hole punch near the top around the holepunch and another impression around Snake Eyes head - these are only visible under the direct glare of light when closely examined. We assume this resulted in the card subgrade (and overall grade) falling short of 85 because otherwise, it matches AFA 85 examples we’ve handled. The back exhibits a light horizontal vein through Lady Jaye to Shipwreck as well as a very light vein at the bottom under 1983. The figure and weapon bubble are firmly attached to the card. The Snake Eyes figure exhibits no movement whatsoever in the waist or legs. Overall, a great looking piece and a cornerstone of 1980’s nostalgia.
