An original He-Man, from the wildly popular Masters of the Universe toyline, is one of the most sought-after action figures in the entire hobby. This early 8-Back release from 1982 is equipped with a dazzling crystal clear bubble and exceptional card. In our Fall Premier Auction one year ago in 2022, we offered an identical release of a beautiful He-Man 8-Back but in a lower grade - AFA 80. It realized a record price of $32,513. This piece is an absolute head turner. Card, bubble, and figure are truly impressive. The early 8-Back card, with only the original 8 characters on back, is virtually flawless front and back. The only blemish we found on the front of the card is a light vertical vein directly above and below the hang tab. It’s important to note that the veining is so light that it does not appear at all on the back of the card. The card’s reverse is a bright white with only minor color rub between the Skeletor and Merman images. The front and back are gorgeous, and otherwise free from typical blemishes including creasing, fading, and edge wear. The bubble is outstanding, its crystal clear retaining perfect form and showcases a flawless He-Man figure within. Includes Battle in the Clouds mini comic. Simply put, this is a striking example of one of the hobby’s most important and recognizable action figures in an extraordinary AFA 85 grade; one that would certainly be a worthy addition to even the most advanced world class collection.
