In 1982, following a six year hiatus, Hasbro revived the G.I. Joe toy-line with 3.75-inch figures, branding it: A Real American Hero. The relaunch was wildly successful becoming what many consider the most iconic toy-line of the 1980’s. The ARAH brand and its characters remain popular to this day.
There is no carded figure more popular amongst collectors than the iconic Snake Eyes with Timber. The original release of Snake Eyes with Timber dates back to 1985 when the ARAH toyline was at its peak, thoroughly embedded in popular culture.
Presented is an immaculate Snake Eyes with Timber – graded AFA 95! This 36-back example, featuring thirty-six characters on the reverse, was graded by the hobby’s leading grading service, AFA, utilizing their current three tier grading system that includes subgrades: it earned an overall 95 grade including outer worldly subgrades of 90, 95, 95. The vibrant colors and gloss to both the card and figure supply a factory fresh sheen to the aesthetics. Both the figure and weapon bubbles retain perfect form. The Snake Eyes figure is flawless standing perfectly upright and his legs are tight and without movement.
An “investment grade” example of the most popular version of the most beloved action figure in the entire ARAH line, and one of the most recognizable and desirable toys of the 1980’s. Along with the record breaking AFA 95 Cobra Commander, this is unquestionably one of the most exciting G.I. Joe action figures that LCG has had the privilege to present to our global audience.
