Dating back to 1978, and following Kenner’s first mail-away redemption (Lot #20), Star Wars action figures began hitting retail shelves.  The first twelve, now known as 12 Back-A, were an instant sensation and were followed by two subsequent releases known as 12 Back-B and 12 Back-C.  LCG Auctions is proud to present an exclusive offering of the complete run of all twelve of the first-release, 12 Back-A, Star Wars action figures from Kenner.  Historically significant, these twelve action figures are credited with helping launch the most iconic toy line of all-time.

 An iconic classic and must-have for every vintage toy collector: 1978 first-release Darth Vader.  Imposing, menacing, and forever collectible.  Our 12 Back-A example doesn’t disappoint.  This one exhibits a nice, clean card without price sticker residue.  Its main imperfection is a dog-eared bottom corner seen on the reverse.  There is a ding on the top of the back corner of the bubble, but, overall, the bubble is nice and clear showcasing a beautiful figure.  Vader is one on everyone’s wish list, and to acquire his very first carded release would be quite the addition to one’s display case.  Encapsulated by AFA (80, 80-80-80), #19711232
