Dating back to 1978, and following Kenner’s first mail-away redemption (Lot #20), Star Wars action figures began hitting retail shelves.  The first twelve, now known as 12 Back-A, were an instant sensation and were followed by two subsequent releases known as 12 Back-B and 12 Back-C.  LCG Auctions is proud to present an exclusive offering of the complete run of all twelve of the first-release, 12 Back-A, Star Wars action figures from Kenner.  Historically significant, these twelve action figures are credited with helping launch the most iconic toy line of all-time.

 One of the most desirable carded figures of the initial twelve, we are proud to offer a very nice “small head” first-release Han Solo.  The small head Han is the preferred version and this one doesn’t disappoint.  Our unpunched 12 Back-A example showcases a very nice card with imperfections that include a vein from the top to the hang tab and price sticker residue over the white “Price” square in the upper corner.  Bubble is crystal clear but does have a ding on one upper corner with a white impression running to a very small dent at his heel.  The reverse is very clean with only a small rabbit ear crease on the bottom corner.  Overall a very nice display piece, and one that collectors will surely be in hot pursuit of.  Encapsulated by AFA (75, 80-75-80), #12735803
