One of the hottest carded figures in the hobby with a recent sale of over $17,000 at auction in July of this year (#17519391, AFA 80 - with a 75 subgrade). Our example is not a perfect one, but still showcases strong display value. Card exhibits wrinkling, veining, and creasing throughout – both front and back. Little to no edgewear. Bubble retains original form, but several imperfects were observed after careful observation under ideal lighting. There is a hairline crack at the nose that extends vertically to the top of his head. Also extends from the nose to the right and left edge of the front of the bubble. Additionally, there is a small chip on the front edge of the bubble above his left hand. Finally, there is hairline cracking near the bottom front portion of the bubble near his feet. The bubble imperfections would be very difficult to see when the piece is displayed on a shelf – we only noticed them after careful observation under ideal lighting. The Anakin figure contained within the bubble appears to be in mint condition and is free from frosting. Overall, a nice, carded, high-end piece with great display value. This is the first Anakin POTF figure we have had in our auctions in over 3 years. Includes custom acrylic display case.
