Highly collectible, “first shots” are used in the toy production process to test runs of the injection molds to spot sculpting errors, test the plastic tolerances, test articulation, etc.  They are often shot in different colors than production or have hand painted features, etc.  The A-Wing Pilot is especially coveted amongst collectors for its crossover appeal (included in both the POTF last 17 and the Droids run).  This piece earned a grade of 85+, an exceptional grade for a first shot.  Encapsulated by AFA (85+), #11828752.  CIB, Tom Derby.
