POP 2– AFA 80 is highest grade ever assigned to this piece. This is one of two AFA 80 examples found in AFA’s population report. There are a total of only 3 AFA graded examples inclusive of all grades.

This lot is part of the “Colorado Find”. Earlier this year, a treasure trove of factory sealed vintage toys was discovered in Colorado. Approximately a dozen “hobby fresh” pieces from that collection are now available for the very first time.

A rare gem from one of the most highly acclaimed toy lines of the 1980’s – Tyco’s Dino-Riders. Dino-Riders were renowned for their detailed bodies, color, and authentic 1/24 scale – so much so, that the Smithsonian Institute contacted Tyco and asked them to reproduce the figures for their “Dinosaur and other Prehistoric Reptile Collection”.

Large item. Our factory sealed example from Series 1 is a beauty with few imperfections to be found. Each panel exhibits outstanding color showcasing the great artwork and photos of Torosaurus. The dinosaur itself includes innovative features such a motorized walking action, head movement, and heavy armor studded with laser cannons. Torosaurus is 1/24 scale of the real thing! Includes collector’s edition comic book.

Dino-Riders are nearly impossible to find in factory sealed condition. Nearly every example was opened and played with upon release. Our offering is “hobby fresh”, coming to us from the recent “Colorado Find” that uncovered a treasure trove of rarities. Freshly graded by AFA in April 2025.

Approximate measurements are 18 x 7 x 10.5 inches.
