AFA red label Voltron I Giftset from the highly coveted Matchbox Voltron line released in 1984. Unlike the more common Voltron toys released by Panosh Place and LJN, the Matchbox releases, especially the giftsets, were of exceptional high-quality. Although not quite as desirable as the Lion Force Giftset released the following year, this is the first Voltron giftset released and makes a great pairing.

This is the first red label Voltron I that we’ve offered in our auctions (there are only 13 factory sealed examples graded by AFA – across all grades). An impressive AFA 80 example, flaws are few – see photos. Much like the Lion Force Giftset, every panel is impressive. Top and bottom are factory sealed. The box art, the images, and the size of the piece itself make for an outstanding on-shelf display. The lucky winner will be quite pleased! Approximately 14.5 x 4.5 x 21.5 inches.
