Exceedingly rare with FULLY VISIBLE EXTENDED DT LIGHTSABER.

Our offering is the second highest graded example in the hobby. The highest graded Luke with extended DT saber owns the all-time record sale for a production action figure. It was sold in our 2025 Summer Premier Auction for $161.458, click here.

Preeminent Luke Skywalker action figure released by Kenner in 1978. He’s equipped with “Double Telescoping” lightsaber that is fully extended and visible within the sealed blister. As stated above, there is only one example with this feature that is graded higher and that one holds the all-time sales record for any production action figure at $161,458.

Our offering is in outstanding AFA 85 condition. The 12 Back-C card is well centered and nearly flawless. No creases, no veins, no wrinkles on the front of the card. The only imperfection that we identified are several light surface impressions located above the R in the STAR logo at the top (visible under ideal lighting). Original $1.97 Toys R Us price tag sticker is in the upper corner. Bubble is clear – no yellowing. It retains perfect form. The action figure itself, complete with the ever-important “Double Telescoping” lightsaber (fully extended), stands upright with white robe/shirt free of discoloration. This is the first time this example has hit the auction block.
