It set an all-time record for any production toy, inclusive of Star Wars and all other toy lines.

Our current factory sealed offering is a rare, first release 8-Back example (8 characters on the back instead of 12). In fact, there have only been two first release Grayskull playsets to hit the auction block this decade. The last time our offering sold was over 4 years ago in October 2021 when it realized $22,206, click here. Collectors have waited patiently. And, with the upcoming Master of the Universe major motion picture this summer (click here) combined with the highly anticipated video game release (click here), we expect interest to be at an all-time high for top tier MOTU items.

Our offering is in fantastic condition. The box art, resembling the great Frank Frazetta, is dark and ominous. Deep color with no fading whatsoever. A clean surface with no price tag sticker. Imperfections are few. The reverse, depicting the 8 original characters, displays as a bright cream with little to no toning. Each end is factory sealed. Truly one of the nicest factory sealed 8-Backs in the hobby. With only a total of 4 in the population report, and considering that Grayskull is the centerpiece of the MOTU universe, we expect quite a bit of interest in this first-release example.
