POP 1 – According to the AFA Population Report, this is the only AFA 80+ example. Only one is graded higher (an AFA 90 example). There is a total AFA graded population of 14.

Rare and desirable MISB Skeletor & Panthor giftset with red backdrop released in 1983. Not to be confused with the more common Battle Armor Skeletor & Panthor pairing, this is the earlier release that includes the original version of Skeletor. This giftset does not disappoint. The box showcases classic artwork depicting He-Man and Skeletor in battle. Box exhibits only minor imperfections – see photos. Box color is excellent – no fading whatsoever. No flap crease on the reverse. Each end is factory sealed. Display window is nearly perfect, with only a few minor surface markings. Within the window is Skeletor and Panthor. It appears a bit of Panthors fur/flock has attached to the Skeletor figure – very common with this piece. Panthor is in mint condition. It’s important to note that Skeletor is firmly tied around the waist and both front and back feet of Panthor are also secured. An iconic giftset that rarely surfaces for sale, and when it does, it certainly isn’t in such great condition. This is the best example we have offered. With Skeletor stealing the show in the new MOTU movie that’s currently in theaters, we expect his best vintage pieces to surge. Please note there is a bit of fracturing at the back corners of the acrylic casing.
