Impressive factory sealed Robotech SDF-1 Battle Fortress released by Matchbox in 1985. Matchbox has a reputation of producing high quality pieces and this one is just that, resembling their very popular (and valuable) Voltron Lion Force issue from 1985. The design is much the same. AFA has encased this one with the display window showing the full toy within. Large box is in excellent overall condition with outstanding color throughout. Two vertical creases are the imperfections of note. Edges and corners are outstanding. Top and bottom is factory tape sealed. Large display window looks great with only a light tint. Toy within is pristine. A very impressive specimen. First time offered in our auctions, and with only 3 other examples in the population it will likely be a very long wait before another comes to market. Please note there is a bit of surface wear/scratching on the acrylic casing. Approximately 19 x 5 x 18 inches displayed.
