POP 5 – According to the AFA Population Report, this is one of only two AFA 90 “Straight-Arm” examples with standard Cobra chest emblem. None are graded higher. There is a total AFA graded population of 4.

Very rare compete Cobra Commander Mail-Away set from 1982, the inaugural year of G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero. This display includes complete contents from the mailer: Shipper Box, Membership Kit Form, File Card, and Action Figure. Our example was submitted to AFA as a factory sealed cardboard box, hence the “uncirculated” designation. The experts at AFA carefully opened the sealed box, removed the contents, encased the piece and assigned it an impressive U90 grade – the highest grade ever assigned to this issue.

Our offering looks superb. Bag is clear and free from yellowing. The straight-arm Cobra Commander action figure stands ideally upright and forward facing with blaster by his side. The original cardboard mailer box remains sealed on one end and carefully cut on the other. It’s been preserved flawlessly for over 44 years. File card and Membership Kit Form are in mint condition.
