Elusive and desirable early release Snake Eyes 9-Back from 1982.  The original nine figures in the ARAH line on 9-back card are exceptionally rare, and Snake Eyes is, by far, the most coveted by collectors.  This one originates from the personal collection of a former Hasbro employee involved in the design of the action figures.  He would pin the action figures on a bulletin board above his work station and use them as inspiration in the creative process of subsequent releases.  The pinholes are still visible upon close inspection near the top of the card - one above the hangtab and two located on the L and P in Fully Poseable.  Aside from the pinholes, the condition of the card is impeccable.  Unpunched and completely flawless on the front with no creases, veins, or edgewear.  Perfect color and registration.  The reverse is just as strong except for a minor light vein that extends horizontally through the Infantry Trooper and Ranger likenesses. The figure and weapon bubbles are clear with no yellowing and retain perfect form.  There is a minor bubble lift at the top of the weapon bubble that’s visible when closely examined.  The figure itself is outstanding with strong o-ring and no leg movement whatsoever.  Overall, an absolutely stellar early 9-back release that would likely score an “85” without the technical downgrade for the pinholes.  A COA from Collectors Investment Brokerage is included attesting to the Hasbro employee provenance.  Encapsulated by AFA (75, 75-80-85), #14498013.  CIB included.
