Attractive high-grade MISB example of one of the hobby’s great icons: Optimus Prime.  Optimus Prime is not only appealing to G1 collectors but has wide crossover appeal to nearly every high-end hobbyist that appreciates the beloved decade of the 1980’s.  Rarely do we come across a retail release in AFA 85.  In fact, this is the first MISB retail release in any grade that we've offered at auction (the others have all been Pepsi versions).  Our example exhibits no colorbreak whatsoever along the edges and the factory tape is present and remains firmly intact on each end.  The reverse looks great and the "flap crease" is only a minimal impression.  There is a light scratch on the front of the acrylic case that's visible in the photos.  Overall, minimal issues on this one.  This is an outstanding high grade example, and it's one of the most recognizable pieces in the entire hobby.   Encapsulated by AFA (85, 80-90-85), #15276158
