7/13/23 Update: According to the AFA Population report available in the Spring of 2021, only TWO AFA red label (including this one) Cobra Viper Gliders have been graded.  We also know of a factory sealed CAS graded example (2nd release), bringing the total to 3.

 First Release

 Incredibly scarce factory sealed Series 2 Cobra Viper Glider from 1983.  This is the first release Viper Glider without the barcode.  It comes around maybe once a decade in factory sealed condition.  Large MISB display piece that’s extremely fragile and very few examples survived.  The Viper Pilot within is one of the most collectible loose figures on the market, often selling for impressive sums in used condition.  We tested the Pilot and while there appears to be light leg movement, he remains upright and secure within the blister.  Seasoned collectors know this is a very special piece of early G.I.
