Dating back to 1978, and following Kenner’s first mail-away redemption (Lot #20), Star Wars action figures began hitting retail shelves.  The first twelve, now known as 12 Back-A, were an instant sensation and were followed by two subsequent releases known as 12 Back-B and 12 Back-C.  LCG Auctions is proud to present an exclusive offering of the complete run of all twelve of the first-release, 12 Back-A, Star Wars action figures from Kenner.  Historically significant, these twelve action figures are credited with helping launch the most iconic toy line of all-time.

 Classic first-release carded figure of the beloved C3PO.  Our 12 Back-A example showcases a strong card front with no creasing or veining with imperfections visible only under direct glare of light.  A vintage Target price sticker adorns the top corner.  The reverse is strong and we could only identify an approx. 2-inch vein that backs the top of the bubble.  Figure sits tightly within a crystal clear bubble with no evidence of yellowing or tinting.  Overall, a very strong carded example of one of the film’s most memorable characters.  Encapsulated by CAS (80+, 85-80-85), #10155297
