One of the most important, valuable, and recognizable pieces in the entire ARAH line. We are pleased to present the elusive icon: Snake Eyes. Snake Eye in 9-back form was the first G.I. Joe action figure in the ARAH line, along with the eight other characters on back, to hit store shelves in 1982. This first version of Snake Eyes is recognized as the straight-arm commando version, rarer than the later released swivel-arm commando version, and much rarer than the ninja version released in 1985. First release examples which have indeed survived in such impressive condition as the presented copy are, in fact, exceptionally scarce. Our “hobby fresh” example has few imperfections. No creasing or veining front or back. The only thing we could find is a surface blemish in the red and blue part of the logo near the upper corner.  The o-ring appears to have lots of life left and the legs and waist exhibited very little to no movement when tested. It’s easy to see why our offering finds itself in such limited company, as color, registration, and gloss are all masterfully orchestrated, and clean surfaces and clear bubble trumpet a stunning absence of wear. A glorious tribute the superstar of the G.I.
