Presented is an iconic He-Man & Battle Cat 8-Back Giftset from 1982. The first-release 8-Back version is extremely rare. Features unique to the 8-back release (not found on the later released 12-back) include: the bottom of the box is completely black in color, the reverse displays only eight action figures, the side panels text differs, and the logos are followed by ™ instead of ®. This factory sealed example presents beautifully in UKG 80 condition. The most significant blemish is a vertical crease located along the left side of the flap on front. The reverse is lightly toned and exhibits a light horizontal flap crease. The bottom panel has a bit of paper tear. He-Man along with his weapon pack are tightly secured to the black backdrop. Battle Cat showcases a fully intact rubber band around his helmet (most rubber bands have fallen off and are found at the feet) and is firmly secured as well. Window is perfect with only light tinting. With an original He-Man and Battle Cat both present and part of the same display, this lot is sure to appeal to crossover and MOTU collectors alike. A fantastic first-release of an iconic giftset.
