According to the AFA population data, AFA 80+ is the second highest grade ever assigned to a Thundertank (pop 1). There are only two graded higher, both AFA 85. There are only 9 factory sealed examples in the population across all grades.
Perhaps the most beautiful boxed item in the hobby, we are pleased to present a stunning example of an elusive factory sealed Thundertank. This is only the second factory sealed Thundertank we have offered in our auctions. Color and gloss are sensational. Corners are sharp. Only minor imperfections found, both faint creases in the bottom corners – one on the front panel near the LJN logo and the other on the left side panel at the bottom left. Otherwise, superb. Comes factory tape sealed with no color break along the edges. The icon of Thundercats, Lion-O, is featured on the front panel along with Panthro, With only two examples graded higher, this lot will certainly be one to watch on October 13th.
