“Hobby Fresh” – first time on the market. Single owner piece consigned by the family of the original owner (now deceased) who purchased it at retail in the mid-1980s (purchased from Hardware Hank in Detroit Lakes, MN). It was sent to us ungraded and we submitted it to AFA for grading prior to the auction.

Gorgeous Series 4 Mauler M.B.T. Tank from 1986. The Mauler is extremely popular with collectors. In fact, the last Mauler to appear in our auction, an AFA 85 example, sold for record $4,832. Frankly, in our opinion, the current offering is superior in condition to the AFA 85 example sold prior. The box is exceptionally white and free of toning. The box art on the front panel exudes vibrant color. Imperfections are few. A depression in the back of the box is the only thing we can think of that took it down to an 80. Nevertheless, one of the very best you will ever see. Factory tape sealed on each end. Please note that this is the very rare Sgt. Slaughter Offer variant, with only 6 factory sealed examples in the population.
