Offered here is a 1992 unpainted hardcopy prototype of Karate Choppin’ Mike, a unique pre-production artifact from the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles action figure line by Playmates. This rare hardcopy was likely used in the later stages of development to test articulation and sculpt refinement. Of note, the sculpt here does not have the “M” on the chest of its production counterpart.

Key Features:
    •    Unpainted hardcopy cast in solid resin material, used for internal review and pre-tooling validation
    •    Fully pinned and articulated, a rare trait for hardcopies, allowing for basic movement tests prior to final engineering sign-off
    •    Based on the Karate Choppin’ Mike release from 1992, known for its dynamic pose and action feature
    •    No production markings or deco, as expected for a test piece intended solely for internal use but does include some blue museum putty on head.

Hardcopies in this condition and configuration seldom surface, especially in the middle of the development process —signaling its use in a transitional phase.

A standout piece for serious prototype collectors, TMNT historians, or anyone seeking to own a tangible piece of the creative process behind the original ’90s toy line.
