One of the most popular (and valuable!) Transformers giftsets. Released in 1985 as part of Series 2, the Constructicons were an instant sensation. The six individual pieces combine to form the mighty Devastator. Hasbro gave G1 enthusiasts the option of purchasing the individual on-card Constructicons or the whole enchilada in the form of a single giftset.

This is the first Devastator giftset we have offered in our auctions. Attractive box art along with the visible Constructicons within make for a showstopper of a display piece. Box exhibits various imperfections throughout – see photos. One end remains factory sealed (tape is loose) without colorbreak along the edge. On the other end, the tape has been neatly cut with colorbreak visible along the front edge. The experts at AFA have inspected the contents within and deemed them complete and unused. Windows showcasing the six Constructions are crystal clear. The Constructicon toys all appear to be in mint condition, well deserving of their “85” subgrades.

Devastator is one of the more valuable giftsets in the toyline. Just last month, a factory sealed example (AFA 80+) was sold at auction and realized an impressive $20,625. In comparison, our offering presents a golden opportunity to acquire an elite Transformers giftset at a relatively reasonable price. Approximately 17 X 3 X 13 inches. Please note there are various surface scratches throughout the acrylic casing that do not affect the piece itself.
