Masters of the Universe has enjoyed enormous success since it’s inception in the early 1980’s, and seems to be becoming more popular by the day.  With two documentaries currently on Netflix, an animated series by director Kevin Smith, and a full-length motion picture on the horizon, the MOTU machine shows no signs of slowing down.  Investment minded collectors are taking notice.    

Considered of the one of the most popular action figures of all time, it’s no coincidence that the He-Man action figure is also among the most valuable.  Presented is a desirable early “8-back” release with Warranty.  Unlike the later released 12-backs (12 characters on cardback as opposed to 8 in the earlier release), the 8-back has a few subtle differences including a different comic book and ™ (instead of ®) attached to the Masters of the Universe logo and to “He-Man” on the front of the card. 

Our example presents beautifully with highly desirable crystal clear bubble.  Clear bubbles of MOTU action figures Series 1-3 that have not yellowed are exceedingly rare and are, by far, the most desirable feature amongst high-end collectors.  Suffice to say, a clear bubble always commands a hefty premium.  Here, the clear bubble is firmly attached to the card with no lift and there is no evidence of dings, dents, or cracks.  The front of the card presents nicely as well with only very light creasing/veining in the upper left quadrant.  A desirable “Child’s World/Children’s Palace” price tag adorns the front and rounds out the nostalgia.  The reverse of the card is very white but does display spotting as seen in the accompanying photos.  There are also several horizontal creases/veins present.  Overall a very attractive, highly desirable example of one of the most popular action figures ever released.  Authenticity Guaranteed.  Includes acrylic display case.
