We are privileged to present an extraordinary collection of early release Series One “8-backs” from the wildly popular Masters of the Universe toyline.  These iconic action figures, released in 1982, were consigned from a single collection that was carefully curated over several years.  “8-Backs”, featuring the original eight characters on the reverse, are considered “Holy Grails” in the MOTU collecting community.

 Difficult to find with clear bubble 8-back Teela paired with the King of Castle Grayskull comic.  This one will be extra appealing to variant collectors because it showcases the Zodac card, not the Teela card.  We’ve seen miscards like this with some of the early figures and they tend to fetch a nice premium.  Historically one of the more underrated characters in the MOTU franchise, Teela is one that has seen a sudden rise in collectability over the last 18 months.  Teela, not He-Man, was the main character in Kevin Smith’s popular MOTU season one reboot on Netflix.  Our example presents much better than its assigned grade.  Clear bubble is paramount with MOTU action figures and this piece doesn’t disappoint.  A perfect piece for collectors that look beyond the technical grade.  Encapsulated by AFA (70, 70-85-80), #11327476
