According to our consignor, her parents would often buy multiple electronics for her and her siblings.  Not everything with given out, and some items remained unopened and in storage for decades.  This was one of them, along with the factory sealed Sega Game Gear (also one that her parents never gave out).  The shipping box was opened long ago but the factory sealed iPhone remained inside.  Our consignor also provided a copy of the Apple “Packing List” page that came with the phone and verifies pertinent information: order number, model number, shipment date, and ship to address.  

The side panel of the FedEx shipping box reveals the Serial, Model, and Part Numbers that match the actual phone.  The upper corner of the box shows a shipment date of April 16, 2008, confirmed by the accompanying Apple packing list page.  The page also states it was ordered online from the Apple Store.  The box has a return address to Apple, Inc in Elk Grove, CA.  Shipping box is in excellent condition.  The factory sealed iPhone is even better!

On February 5, 2008, Apple doubled the available storage capacity of the iPhone and released a 16GB model in addition to the 8GB model (the 4GB model was discontinued on September 5^th, 2007).  Our offering is a single-owner example of the first-generation model Apple iPhone in 16GB.  This one includes the original FedEx shipping box and copy of the Apple packing slip as noted above.  The phone itself is factory sealed and the condition is as good as we’ve seen on a 16GB model.  Eight sharp corners and flawless seal make this a winner.  An exciting set that pieces together the provenance in an exciting manner. Model A1203, Order MB384LL/A (16GB)
