Rare 20 Year Example with “Space Gray” Apple Logo

Extremely attractive employee-issued Apple Anniversary Award.  A gift from Apple to our consigner in 2020 to commemorate her 20 years of employment at Apple, Inc.  The 20 Year Award is exceedingly rare, especially compared to the ten year award that we see hit the market from time to time.  The 2000-2020 time period of this Award is unique in that it covers the iPod, iPhone, iPad, and Apple Watch releases, as well as the untimely passing of Apple icon Steve Jobs.  The “Space Gray” mirror-like Apple logo is a unique feature as is the “20” etched along the side.  The piece comes in its original packaging and includes tissue paper with explanation of manufacturing process/materials, logo protector, and card from CEO Tim Cook.  Measuring 7 x 2 x 7 inches and a whopping 7.6 lbs, it’s the perfect high-end display piece for an Apple enthusiast.  Photos do not do this one justice – absolutely gorgeous!  Pristine condition.

“Your 20-year award is made from the same 6000 series aluminum that we use to make our products.  Remnants from the production process are collected and reformulated to create a 100 percent recycled, custom alloy.  The alloy is cast into long ingots, then each ingot is sliced into blocks that are machined to the finished size.  The surface is fine blasted and the edges are diamond-cut.  The block is then dyed Space Gray and anodized to seal the finish and create a protective layer.  Finally, a Space Gray stainless steel Apple logo is set into the center.”
