This item is “hobby fresh” and part of a single-owner collection made available for the very first time. In the late 1970’s, our consignor was a manager at a West Coast department store chain called Fedco. With Star Wars mania already underway, he secured a handful of action figures from the back of the store before they hit shelves (and before they were punched and price tagged). He had the foresight to keep the collection stored away and sealed in their original packages for almost 45 years. The result is a fantastic, fresh-to-market collection, most with amazing color – all unpunched and without stickers!

Darth Vader on 12 Back-C card from 1978. The front of the card exhibits minor fading and surface wear as well as a vein/impression on the image of Vader that is visible only when examined closely under ideal lighting conditions.  Otherwise, the front of the card is flawless - unpunched, with no additional creases, veins, or edgewear. No price tag sticker. Imperfections on the reverse include surface wear in addition to four veins located within the bottom 1/3^rd of the cardback. Bubble is crystal clear and retains perfect form all-around. There is a minor impression at the top corner at midpoint as well as what appears to be a very small hairline fracture that originates from the top back corner against the card. Vader action figure stands perfectly upright. No frosting on the figure whatsoever. Made in Taiwan.
