Massive Space Shuttle Playset. Presented is a fantastic factory sealed Defiant – a jaw-dropping AFA U85 masterpiece! The playset was originally released in 1987, almost 40 years ago. Our example arrived at AFA in “uncirculated” condition - the original cardboard packing slip still covered the piece. The professionals at AFA removed the slip for the very first time and assigned the playset a red label grade of 85, with the coveted “U” (uncirculated) designation. Please note, the original shipping sleeve is included in the lot. We invite interested parties to view the photographs provided. Colors are vivid with impressive features throughout. Top and bottom remain factory tape sealed, and the giant space shuttle is preserved within. 

The Defiant is one of the most iconic playset in the entire hobby (across all toylines), and one of the most recognizable and desirable toys of the 1980’s. We have only offered one example in our past auctions, a CAS 80 example that realized $32,512. Our current AFA U85 offering is a magnificent example of a factory sealed Defiant, one of the finest in existence.
