Ultra high-grade Riddler Super Amigos released by Pacipa in 1989. It’s important to note that the Riddler character was never released in the US, never appearing on the Super Powers card. He only appeared on the Super Amigos card released in Argentina. Riddler Super Amigos in high-grade is considered a ‘grail’ amongst veteran Super Powers collectors. With only four AFA 85 clear bubble examples in the population, and none graded higher, we are expecting quite a few eyeballs on this lot. Our example sports an unpunched card with exceptional color and only the most minor of imperfections. The only culprits we identified were a small blemish on the right edge at midcard and an almost imperceptible 1-inch vein on Riddler’s upper thigh moving in the 2 o’clock position to his crotch. Otherwise, flawless! No creases, no edgewear, no price tag residue/imprint. The bubble is clear as is the tray – a true rarity. The Riddler action figure looks great within! Simply put, this is the best example to hit the auction block yet. As such, interested bidders should expect fierce competition on August 24th.
