Rare and desirable MISB Skeletor & Panthor giftset with red backdrop released in 1983. Not to be confused with the much more common Battle Armor Skeletor & Panthor pairing, this is the earlier release that includes the original version of Skeletor. Recently graded in January of 2024, this giftset does not disappoint. The box showcases classic artwork depicting He-Man and Skeletor in battle. Box exhibits imperfections throughout – see photos. Box color looks good – no fading. No flap crease on the reverse and only light toning. Each end is factory sealed and there is no colorbreak whatsoever along either of the front edges. Display window was graded clear but it looks to be either very lightly tinted or a slightly cloudy when viewed against a white background. The 80 subgrade is a result of several stress marks found on the top panel of the window. Within the window is Skeletor and Panthor. It appears some of Panthors fur/flock has attached to the Skeletor figure (see photo). Panthor is in mint condition. Please note there is a loose piece of tape at the base. It’s important to note that Skeletor is firmly tied around the waist and both front and back feet of Panthor are also secured.
